Poem, The Final Attempt

I taste your lips so hungrily

I hope you’d stay and rest.

Your head is nestled happily

between my luscious breasts.

Your eyes met mine with pity,

I felt your soul reach out.

My womb is baby-empty,

That’s all it is about.

I know that there’s still hope for me,

Let’s give ourselves a chance.

A final try is meant to be,

let’s waltz our final dance.

PRISMATICATED

Render Him thyself, He knows what to do
Escape from thy thoughts; let Him conquer thy life too
Deep gratitude, He expects to come from you

Once committed to Him thou shall praise loudly
Rude things may come instead; blame softly
Amidst thy journey, along are frustrations
Neglect what’s happening, whisper thy devotions
Greatest was He of all the superlatives
Evidence of providence, indeed He never leaves

Yet He never fails to love us genuinely
Eternal life He assures, truly, really, endearingly
Luxury thou shall have when serving Him with sense
Lavish kindness, He owns bounds Thy bestowed greatness
One thing Thy assure when foresight gets blurred
We focus on Him, everything gets clearer

Glorify, worship, laud, extol
Reverence He deserves, praise Him after all
Engage in His words, in gusto, in zest
Evil sometimes dominate, people crawl
Ne’er-do-well thou might be but He’ll never let you fall

Buried thyself alive you think when you’re lost
Lynch in earnest you regard not minding what it costs
Up there, look up, let Him take over
Enlightened by Thy strength He’ll accompany you forever

In time thou shall come to the end of your way
No hard feelings just kneel and pray
Death is not a period, it’s only a comma
Indeed He offers eternity explicit in dogma
Gracious Throne above benevolently showers mercy
Oh GOD, in Thy hands, be all declared Thy glory

PRISMATICATED? There’s no such thing like this, really. It was my friend who suggested me this title (credits to him). I was about to write something related to God, relating His gratefulness with colors, so I thought of a “rainbow”. I remembered what I’ve read in an article then, stating that rainbow is an Arc of PRISMATIC COLORS. Sounds catchy. So I made my title that way. I was about to finish YELLOW when I asked my friend if he could help me find a better one. I told him, “ampanget kase ng title ko eh, PRISMATIC COLORS”. And then he said, “PRISMATICATED”. I hurriedly consult my dictionary to check for that term and no such word was found. So I asked him what that means, and he answered wisely, “ginawa ko lang verb yung prismatic. Alisin mo na yung ‘color’, kase it means na pag nakilala mo si God, ma-fifill ng colors yung buhay mo… prismaticated”. Thaaaaaaat! Revived my thoughts!! Very well explained, HAHA. That’s how I came up with my title.

Colors and their Meanings (based on my own opinion and perception)

·         RED – COMMITMENT
We are all knowledgeable that Red symbolizes Love, and love starts with commitment. If we will commit and render our lives to God, we will be occupied with no worries in the world. Love Him, let Him direct our Lives.

·         ORANGE – HAPPINESS
Orange is full of life, vigorous, sprightly. If we will praise Him, our lives will be filled with happiness. He is the King. He is the Superior. No one can ever make us happy the way He does.

·         YELLOW – LIGHT
When there is God, there is Light. And when there is light, there is Hope.

·         GREEN – PRAISE
Everything around us is green. Trees, grasses, mountains... Which points to the Master of these Creations. And so, offer our homage to God. He is Everything. He deserves to be worshiped.

·         BLUE – HARDSHIPS
A lot of people say, “God won’t give us problems if He knows that we can’t overcome such”. Practically speaking, it’s true. No trial would cause us despair if we know God’s reasons for allowing it.

·         INDIGO – DEATH
Since then, I thought of VIOLET as the color of death (it’s my own opinion, haha), and indigo, is closely related to the said color. I presented in the last part that we shouldn’t be afraid of dying. IT IS A CLEAR PICTURE OF ETERNAL HAPPINESS, WITH GOD.

That’s all Folks!

When I was Alone

From where I stood the sun looked back in sorrow
I was an empty void without thoughts of tomorrow
Behind me were all my goals so meaningless
All my dreams were drowned in bitterness

My blind eyes saw through the gates of eternity
Looking back I saw all my hate and enmity
As I stared into the endless black abyss
I thought of all the things in life I've missed

Remembering all I've done I smiled regretting none
The only wish I had left was that I'd be gone
Ready to jump and as I planned to leave it all
Glowing arms came to stop my endless fall

He gave me orders to keep my life
Through all my wrongs I must stay alive
He gave me eyes that I could see
That the only true problem was with me

He said i had a mind so think right
A heart to stay firm in the absence of light
I had arms not wings to fly

That I may realize that I am still under the love of my maker's sky.

Let Love Through

by: Nina Flancia (BSMT3c)

Love is still
Love is pure
It has nothing to fail
Or turn to vain insecure

Love endures
To all pains are the cures
It is tender yet sharp
Gently pricking into thy heart

So know what love is and true
And your whole life will be anew
It vanishes all that’s blue
So come let love get through

A Poem for Valentine's Day

 By: Angela Aninang

Valentines day you are here once again
A day to celebrate our heart's treasures
to cherish,reminisce and look forward
to more happy moments with people we love

It's not the day itself perhaps
for it's not only the roses that count
much more than the date
It's the day we decided to love that we celebrate

It must have been a crazy world after all
circles of surprises and sacrifices
But love happens inevitably
Let it in and prove the possibility

Oh valentines day how priceless it seems
the joys and laughter in love people share
Let me have a love to have and hold
Much more than what this life behold

Sadness...

Sadness is what I feel, when I thought of you today.

I feel confused, uncertain of what I have to say.

Do you truly love me or just your favorite toy?

To use and then keep out of sight, when you no longer enjoy?

Sadness engulfs me with an eerie stillness.

I tried to look for you amidst the gelid blueness.

To reassure myself that the love is still indeed a true perception.

Or is it just the product of my fertile and rabid imagination?

This Love...

This love is like a fountain, undaunted and unfeigned.

It wafts through closed door awnings and shouts in purple paint.

It’s flighty as a butterfly, but only when in the doldrums.

It soars up in the sky amidst the rainbow’s vibrant columns.

This love is like a turtle, so slow but oh so sure.

It creeps in virgin forests and washes away the burr.

It shines like brilliant light rays, amidst the sparkling rains.

It warms like ginger-clover to compliment sand’s grains.

Just Ruminating...

Just Ruminating...

I can say I am in a farouche mood today,
trying to fletcherize my thoughts,
if that is possible at all.

But estivating in my room,
due to conjunctivitis,
propels me to experiment
with these highfalutin words
that I fail to comprehend myself.

It feels great just to play with them.

Painting Words

By Roy Dela Cruz

If I were a poet to paint your beauty
You know I will do it with all honesty
Though with paints and brushes I cannot do
I will use words that can only speak true

You are a face so young and so innocent
With a smile to cheer even a weary heart
Glowing eyes that can only be you
And a hair gently bathed by midnight hue

Your hands are soft like that of velvet
A walk like a swan, so graceful and fine
A voice that bespeaks of youth and innocence
And the rare, rare charm of a real lady

But then you know that words are not enough
To paint a picture of your enchanting beauty
Cause yours is a beauty more than words
  could ever speak...

You really are beautiful

Solitude

Perched atop the hills,

I scanned the horizon,

willing for you to come back.

Lying in my bed,

I stared at the ceiling,

hoping you’d be there.

God is good, as always.

granted my wish and more.

But why do I have this

empty feeling of loneliness,

still?

My Painful Past

I stood astride your songs,
In pulchritude we joined.
You with your mellow prongs,
I, with my opened loins.

We earned each accolade.
Our fame is all aflame.
We feasted on the glade.
And wealth we too proclaimed.

Alas, it did not last,
As all would come to pass.
I sit here quite aghast.
You're now under the grass.

I grieve my painful past.
Our days that should have been.
I sigh and say Alas!
We never will be seen.

Oh, Elvis where are you?
I yearn each day for you,
Hopeful that you could play.
My strings again someday!

PUFFY WHITES

By: Elmot

I saw dancing, sheep
Of puffy irregular whites;
Running, playing, and changing
Shapes with the summer sun.

They run and catch
Each other’s tails,
bump and mate each other’s wool.

Others sleep in the curving
Corner of velvet farm,
Their colors I wonder is
Not of perfect white?
Theirs’ are sleeping colors
Puffy ash?

Then, sheep started to feast
On velvet and changing grass,
They stop, and eat and gently hop;
Till the farm in blowing wind concealed.

All these innocent puffy sheep ate
The changing velvet grass;
Through blowing wind,
Herded happily changing,
To sleep in the edge
of the velvet farmland.

He is also an incredibly versatile poet who could shift easily from composing an erotic poem to a pristine, virginal poem like this one.

Thanks Elmot for accepting my invitation for a guest post, and for this refreshing and invigorating poem.

For My Blogging Friends

I am Lyle, The Struggling Blogger had declared falsely.

Writing to Exhale, he skedaddled into his Sugar Coated world.

You see, he was Born on a Syzygy too that’s why he is a Third World Geek

And I would not blame his friend, Zorlone, if he thinks upon Reflection:
that he’s got to visit Ceblogger’s Sports Blog instead of hanging out with him.

The good doctor is a badminton enthusiast, you know.

Kelvinonian ideas on the other hand, might work as a Pamatay Homesick for him.

And Tales from the Mom Side usually comfort people.

But if it does not, then reading the Yatot Chronicles might do the trick .

Or he might be needing an exercise and A Walk in the Dark would rejuvenate his soul.

And if everything else fails, then he should hop over to Pinoy Sounding Board.
This would definitely save the day for his transient stay in this mundane existence.

And here's a related article about MY NEW BLOGGING FRIEND, are you in it? Read and discover.

IT'S JUST ME

By: RRchard

When I was born I thought I was different,
After a few years I found out everyone is different.
When I started playing with others I thought I should always win because I’m the best,
But after some games I realized that winning doesn’t matter as long as you enjoyed the game.

When I first went to church I thought I should go because my family does so,
But after some time I realized that even if I don’t attend, those who love God will still attend
After graduating from the elementary I thought studying was just part of life,
But after graduating from College, I found out that learning is part of life’s necessities.

When I started working I thought that it is a must because I need to earn for a living,
After a few years, I realized that working means helping others achieve their goals.
Recently I thought that talking to people - especially co-workers - is just part of life,
Lately I realized it is part of our journey towards deciphering what life really is.

When I had a girlfriend I thought that it was just for company,
But after a few years I recognized that is just the beginning of a lifelong friendship.
When I married I thought I found a wife,
But as years passed I realized that I took in someone to serve.

After years passed I thought I’m starting to lose my identity as a husband,
But instead became a father to whom my children and wife rely on.
More than ten years has passed and at one time I felt that I have lost my wife,
But upon examination, found out that she became a mother not only to my kids but to me as well.

Hope that as time passes by, God would continue to reveal more about life to me,
As I struggle to retain my identity, dignity and honor.
Now I know that time is indeed short and limited,
But hope that each moment spent would matter not only to me, but also to my family and friends…

But most of all to the Lord God Almighty, my creator, redeemer and friend.

RRchard is young man of 35 occupying one of the junior positions in the academe. He's witty, fun to be with and one of the most intelligent persons I have ever met. He may dazzle you with his cognitive ability but he could also whip a joke or two in a jiffy.

He has only composed three poems in his lifetime, (for whom? - I could not reveal). This is the third one, so you must realize by now that his poems are like translucent shooting stars in the starless night; you'll never know, when you'll be able to witness their splendor again.

Read this soulful poem and bask in its meaning ... another poet is unveiled!

You

You are the moonbeam in the inky night;

the firefly of each wayward traveler.

You are the welcome shade in a scorching day;

the warm umbrage of refuge and love.

You are the sparkling rain in a humid weather;

the dewdrop in the morning dawn.

You are the joyful song in everyone's heart;

the promise of another fruitful start.

You are the one who makes my life complete;

the breath of life into my soul.

You are the quiddity of my being;

The one I would love forever.

I often wonder what am I to you;

the moonbeam or the shade of blue?

I guess this won't really matter,
