Finally, my dream of publishing my novel is coming true. A kindred and generous soul/company has offered to publish it.
That thought alone had made me so happy that I could live day to day, floating on cloud nine.
My novel, "The Kalinga Warrior," will see print hopefully in September of this year, 2026. It has been more than a decade since I started writing this novel, hoping that one day it will see the light before I meet my end.
Now, I am debating whether to appear to the public or allowing by brother to do the promotion for me. I am an introvert, you see. I don't want to socialize with people I am not familiar with, especially those who might look up to me because of my novel.
Well, it is crossroad for me, and when that day comes, I will have to follow what my heart dictates.
This novella focuses on the life of a Kalinga man, who, despite people's discrimination, managed to reach his goals in life.
You may want to read it because it also reveals how the Martial Law years were in the olden days. Although, the work is fiction, the framework deals with a few factual occurrences in the Philippines.
You could also learn more about how the Kalinga People live their life in the old days. I am proud to have lived my childhood in my father's homeland.
You may want to read some of the chapters of my novel. I have published them by chapters in this blog too. Here's the link: The Kalinga Warrior.
