Memories of Valentine’s Day

I can still remember the day,
When we were together, celebrating Valentine’s Day.
You and I both knew,
Our love was so strong as we vowed anew..
It had seemed a typical day for me, but not for you.
I thought you have forgotten to greet me too.
But then you have surprised me with flowers and notes all over,
No one ever did that to me before, my lover.
A dinner for two, what more could I ask?
Whenever I’m with you, my heart beats so fast.
These memories, they always come back to life,
Wonder if you also remember these things we once had.
Now Valentine’s Day is getting near,
I wish that you’re beside me again, my dear.
‘Coz that Valentine’s with you was the best,
It was the most special among the rest.
God knows how much I love you,
I know you love me too, but not as much as I do.
All the things that we’ve gone through,
had taught me lessons, thanks to you.
I keep my door open for you to regain
and maybe someday, it will be us again.
In God’s time, with the right reasons,
We’ll celebrate together then, in all the seasons.
I’m still glad that we’re only good friends now,
Memories will be forever in my heart somehow.
You will still have my heart until the end of time,
Glad that I once had you my first love, my Valentine.

And So My Heart Sings...on Valentine's Day

Hello there my beau
I just called to say I love you
For tonight I celebrate my love
Singing young and free as a dove.
I was thirteen living my teenage dream
‘Twas easy just like eating an ice cream
No one told me that love is a mystery
What I knew is that it was extraordinary
I never thought that at a moment like this,
I’ve got to know what love is
I’m young, nobody wants to be lonely
I need someone who could make me happy
First time I ever saw your face,
My heart sped up as if it was winning a race
Tonight, I’ll be honest, I’ll be blunt
I know you’re the one that I want
I’ll stay with you, this I promise
Because you’re the last person I wanna miss
Now I’ve thought my choices through
I can't live without you, I just don’t want to
February, hey now I’m excited
For once again I’ll get to see my beloved
Waiting for Valentine's Day, set aside your work
‘Cause on the 14th you’ll be my firework

A Plan for Valentine's Day

This quiet night I am thinking,
What I could do for Valentine’s,
And then, with my fingers leading,
I started typing these little lines.

This poem is short, but with my best
I shall make these stanzas mighty.
I know that God will do the rest
Because I place my faith so highly.
Valentine’s is ‘round the corner,
And I know I’m not yet ready
But to fill that day with wonder,
I will do to make you happy.
