Love Poem: Has Got Me Finally

I was born yet I was cold
I was complete but not that whole
I was strong yet felt so tired
Till love I knew and tried
It really felt so good
It changed my darkest mood
I never thought to feel this way
For love captured me though come what may
My stillness broke
As my heart began to float
From now I won’t be weary
Cause love has got me finally

Who was it that makes me smile?
Who breaks my chill in just awhile?
Who banishes all things that are blue?
Now endless nights do have a due
Who is it that makes me weak?
Who touches my soul and thy heart beneath?
Who knows to be tender and with care?
So only in thy heart shall I dwell
The emptiness and distress vanishes
Once I feel the warmth of thy sweet caress
I know it was my biggest dream come true
That who that I’m asking was only you

Let Love Through
Love is still
Love is pure
It has nothing to fail
Or turn to vain insecure
Love endures
To all pains are the cures
It is tender yet sharp
Gently pricking into thy heart
So know what love is and true
And your whole life will be anew
It vanishes all that’s blue
So come let love get through
